For this garden in Chelsea the landscape & design brief was to create a large lawn where the client’s sons could play football, set against the backdrop of a classic English garden.
When we arrived the builders had turned the back garden into a mud patch and we began by putting in a land drainage system underneath the lawn area. We started with just seven mature trees - everything else had to be brought in & planted. But ten weeks & a lot of hard work later, the garden looked as though it had been there forever.
