We build gardens to our own designs but we are very happy to work from other designers’ plans – as we did in this garden in South Kensington. It took us just six weeks to transform the waste land at top left into the finished result which you see in the images to its right. The owner works very long hours and only gets to enjoy his garden when the features are picked out by spotlights at night.

The penultimate picture shows the final construction stage of a tiny garden in Belgravia which we built from scratch in seven days – and the last image shows the finished garden three weeks later when the new lawn is about to get its first cut.
